Homemade Melasma Treatment !!!

Melasma is a skin condition which causes brown to gray-brown patches on the face. Most people get it on their cheeks, bridge of their nose, forehead, chin, and above their upper lip. It also can appear on other parts of the body that get lots of sun, such as the forearms and neck. You can use laser treatment for diminishment of melasma, creams, bleaching agents such as hydroquinone treatment and different skinn lotions. Chemical peels can also be used in the treatment of melasma.  Chemical peels help to break up the excess pigmentation in the skin and unveil normally pigmented skin.  The most effective treatment option for melasma is fractional laser resurfacing with a laser called the Fraxel Laser. ( A friend of mine had the lazer treatment and it was painfull with poor result). Melasma sometimes goes away spontaneously, that is without any treatment. But when it doesn't, it may be difficult to treat. But why not try first a homemade melasma treatment and the use of daily sunscreen is also mandatory.

1. Lemon Juice

The acidic nature of lemon juice also helps remove the outer layer of the skin, thereby eliminating a layer of the hyperpigmented skin.
  1. Extract the juice from one fresh lemon.
  2. Apply the juice on the affected areas and gently rub it around for one or two minutes.
  3. Leave the juice on for 20 minutes before rinsing it off with lukewarm water.
  4. Follow this remedy twice daily and you should see improvement within three weeks.

2. Apple Cider Vinegar

The acetic acid present in apple cider vinegar makes it a powerful bleaching agent, which helps remove spots and make the skin much smoother and more radiant.
  1. Mix together equal amounts of apple cider vinegar and water.
  2. Apply this solution on the melasma spots and allow it to air dry.
  3. Rinse it off with lukewarm water and pat dry the skin gently.
  4. Follow this remedy once daily.

3. Turmeric

Turmeric reduces the skin’s melanin and help combat melasma. The active ingredient curcumin in turmeric spice has antioxidant and skin-lightening properties.
  1. Mix five tablespoons of turmeric powder with 10 tablespoons of milk to make a paste. It is best to use whole milk because it has lactic acid and calcium that helps exfoliate and soften the skin.
  2. Add one tablespoon of gram flour to thicken the mixture.
  3. Apply this paste evenly on the affected area.
  4. Allow it to dry for 20 minutes. Then rinse it off with warm water and pat dry with a clean towel.
  5. Repeat this treatment daily for best results.

4. Onion Juice

Onion juice has a range of sulfur-containing compounds that can fade dark patches or discoloration on the skin. Also, onion juice provides nourishment to the skin cells.
  1. Finely chop two to three onions.
  2. Put them in a piece of cheesecloth and squeeze it to extract the juice.
  3. Measure the onion juice and mix it with an equal amount of apple cider vinegar.
  4. Apply it on the affected area with a cotton ball.
  5. Leave it for 20 minutes, and then wash it off with warm water.
  6. Follow this remedy twice daily for a few weeks.

5. Aloe Vera Gel

-Can alleviate hyperpigmentation and restore your skin’s original color. It can also remove dead skin cells and promote regeneration of new skin cells.
  1. Cut open an aloe vera leaf and extract the fresh gel.
  2. Apply the gel thoroughly on the affected area and gently massage for one or two minutes.
  3. Leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes, and then wash it off with lukewarm water.
  4. Follow this remedy twice daily for a few weeks.

6. Oatmeal

Oatmeal  can remove brown spots on the face and dissolve dead skin cells to give you brighter, glowing skin.
  1. Mix together two tablespoons of oatmeal powder, two tablespoons of milk and one tablespoon of honey.
  2. Apply it on the affected area.
  3. Wait 20 minutes and rub off the mixture with water.
  4. Pat your face dry with a clean towel.
  5. Do this two or three times a week for a month.

7.  Papaya

 – Combine mashed papaya with honey. Soak a clean cloth in warm water, squeeze dry and apply the mixture on the cloth. Place the cloth over the face for 20 minutes, then rinse with warm water.

8Tomatoes

– Cut tomatoes in half and using circular motions, rub over the affected area for 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

Homemade Skin care Aloe Vera!

 Benefits of Aloe Vera!!!!

- Buy a Aloe Vera plant and start to use its leafs for skin care!

Aloe vera  is a succulent plant and part of the lily family (Liliaceae), the same family that garlic and onions belong to. Different parts of the plant are used for different purposes and aloe vera has both internal and external applications.  Its medicinal, and like all plant medicines, should not be consumed every single day. I consume fresh aloe to my skin, so you need to bye a plant and start to use this great plant leafs.

Top 12 Benefits of Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera contains over 200 active components including vitamins, minerals, amino acids, enzymes, polysaccharide, and fatty acids ! The bulk of the aloe vera leaf is filled with a clear gel-like substance, which is approximately 99% water. Humans have used aloe therapeutically for over 5000 years .

1.  High in Vitamins & Minerals:

Aloe Vera contains many vitamins including A, C, E, folic acid, choline, B1, B2, B3 (niacin), B6. Aloe Vera is also one of the few plants that contains vitamin B12. Some of the 20 minerals found in Aloe vera include: calcium, magnesium, zinc, chromium, selenium, sodium, iron, potassium, copper, manganese.

2.  High in Amino Acids & Fatty Acids

Aloe contains three plant sterols, which are important fatty acids – HCL cholesterol (which lowers fats in the blood), campesterol, and B-sitosterol. All are helpful in reducing symptoms of allergies and acid indigestion. Other fatty acids include linoleic, linolenic, myristic, caprylic, oleic, palmitic, and  stearic.

3. Aloe Vera is an Adaptogen

Aloe vera is a well-known adaptogen. An adaptogen is something that boosts the body’s natural ability to adapt to external changes and resist illness. It is thought that aloe’s power as an adaptogen balances the body’s system, stimulating the defense and adaptive mechanisms of the body. This allows you an increased ability to cope with stress (physical, emotional and environmental stress like pollution).

4. Helps with Digestion

Poor digestion is related to many diseases. . It is an adaptogen, it helps with either constipation or diarrhea, helping to regulate your elimination cycles in whatever way you need.  It’s been a great remedy for people with problems such as irritable bowel syndrome as well as acid reflux. Aloe also helps to decrease the amount of unfriendly bacteria and in our gut keeping your healthy intestinal flora in balance and helps to rid the body of intestinal worms.

5.  Helps in Detoxification

The main benefit to consuming gelatinous plant foods in your diet is that these gels move through the intestinal tract absorbing toxins along the way and get eliminated through the colon.

6.   Alkalizes the Body

Aloe vera is an alkaline forming food. It alkalizes the body, helping to balance overly acidic dietary habits.

7. Cardiovascular Health

According to a study published in the 2000 issue of the British Medical Journal, beta sitosterol helps to lower cholesterol. By regulating blood pressure, improving circulation and oxidation of the blood, lowering cholesterol, and making blood less sticky, aloe vera juice may be able to help lower the risk of heart disease.

8.  Helps Boost the Immune System

The polysaccharides in aloe vera juice stimulate macrophages, which are the white blood cells of your immune system that fight against viruses. Aloe is also an immune enhancer because of its high level of anti-oxidants, which help combat the unstable compounds known as free-radicals, contributing to the aging process.  Aloe is also an antipyretic which means it used to reduce or prevent fever.

9.  Great for the Skin

Aloe Vera is one of the primary compounds used in the cosmetic industry. It is a known vulnerary, and is great for applying topically to burns, abrasions, psoriasis and even to bug bites. Aloe acts as an analgesic, acting to help relieve pain of wounds.  Aloe is also an antipruritic: A substance that relieves or prevents itching. Aloe vera is an astringent: which causes the contraction of body tissues, typically used to reduce bleeding from minor abrasions.  Aloe increases the elasticity of the skin making it more flexible through collagen and elastin repair. Aloe is an emollient, helping to soften and soothe the skin.

10. Disinfectant, Anti-biotic, Anti-microbial, Germicidal, Anti-bacterial, Anti-septic, Anti-fungal & Anti-viral:

Aloe vera’s active ingredients are sulphur, lupeol, salicylic acid, cinnamic acid, urea nitrogen and phenol which are substances that prevent the growth of disease-causing microorganisms and act as a team to provide antimicrobial activity thus eliminating many internal and external infections, also active against bacteria. It also helps to treat fungal and viral infections.

Improving your digestion, it has a secondary effect of promoting weight loss because when you start to improve your digestion you naturally eliminate more efficiently, which is a primary way that we all detoxify – through our bowels.

 Intake Precautions

This plant is incredibly medicinal, yet there are some cautions against long-term use. Just because a little is beneficial, doesn’t mean that a lot is more beneficial. This is an incredibly potent plant and should be used with a level of respect for its potency. Long-term use can lead to loss of electrolytes, especially potassium.

How To Make Carrot Oil for your skin!

I use daily carrot oil for my skin:
This basic daily-use product will moisturize and smooth your skin with carrots.

Three Homemade Carrot Face Mask Recipes:
1.Peel & steam carrots. Peel one large carrot and steam or boil until tender (when a fork can easily pierce through it, it's ready). Mash the carrot with a fork or masher until it's a creamy consistency.
2.Mix in honey and extra virgin olive oil. Mix in half a tablespoon of honey and half a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil. If your skin is oily, you may omit the extra virgin olive oil.
3.Add a few drops of lemon juice. Your skin type will depend on the amount of lemon juice you add in (lemon juice is a natural astringent, so the oilier your skin, the more lemon you want in your mask). If you have dry skin, add about 8 drops of lemon and if you have oily skin, add up to 1 tablespoon.
4.Check consistency. The mixture shouldn't be too clumpy or too runny. If the mix is too thick, you can add in a bit more extra virgin olive oil or water to thin it out. You can add a bit more honey to the mix to give it a thicker, paste-like texture.
5.Cool down. Let the mixture cool down so that the temperature is comfortable on your skin.
6.Mask time. Apply the carrot mask onto a clean and bare face, even your neck if you wish, but avoid the eye and mouth area. Leave it on for 10 -15 minutes and wash it off with warm water afterwards. Pat dry and follow up with your favorite moisturizer or eye cream.
Tip: Like any skincare product, be sure to patch test the mask on yourself to ensure that negative reactions do not occur. If you ever feel any discomfort or irritation after you've applied the mask, wash it off immediately with warm water.

Carrot and coconut oil
•1 carrot, washed with top removed •water •1 tbsp organic coconut oil
Here’s how you do it: 1.Roughly chop carrot into 5 or so chunks 2.Bring about 1″ of water to a boil in a sauce pan. Add carrots, reduce heat to low, cover and steam for 8-10 minutes 3.Drain water and add carrots to food processor or blender. Add coconut oil and blend until smooth, like a puree 4.Wash face with olive oil or regular cleanser (but OCM is better for you… just saying) 5.Apply face mask to face, avoiding the eyes and mouth. Allow to set about 15-20 minutes 6.Pretend you’re a character on the Simpsons while you’re waiting. It’ll make the wait more enjoyable 7.Wash face with warm water, and gently wipe off any remaining bits with a wash cloth. 8.If you need a moisturizer, apply a little coconut oil or olive oil.
Here’s why it works: In addition to being great for your health and eye sight when eaten, carrots are a natural antiseptic, and they are full of Beta-carotene and iron, which may help tone and clarify your skin. Carrots also may help reduce blemishes and moisturize dry skin. Coconut oil provides moisture, while reducing break-outs and eliminating bad oils from your face.
You will be left with glowing, moisturized, healthy and happy skin!

Homemade Carrot/Honey Facial Pack Recipe:

Step 1 - Peel two to three large carrots and slice them into small rounds. Boil the carrots in a small pot until they’re easily pierced with a fork. Drain the water away and pour the cooked carrot slices into a small bowl. Step 2 Mash the carrots thoroughly with a fork.
Step 2 - Mash the carrots thoroughly with a fork.
Step 3 - Mix up to 4 1/2 tablespoons of honey with the carrots, 1/2 tablespoon at a time, until the mixture has reached a smooth, creamy consistency. If you prefer a slightly different consistency, simply adjust the amount of honey to suit your preference. For a thinner mask, add a little bit of olive oil. Blend the oil in a bit at a time until the mask consistency suits you.
Step 4 - Wait until the mask has cooled sufficiently to apply, and then smooth it onto your skin. Leave it in place for about 10 minutes; rinse it off with warm water and pat your skin dry.
Tips You can substitute the flesh of a ripe avocado and about 2 tablespoons olive oil for the honey in Step 3 if you wish. You can also include the avocado and olive oil along with the honey. Blend the avocado and olive oil into the mashed carrots -- you may need a blender -- then add the honey after.

Girls What`s your favorite Perfume ?

I thought to try the Icelandic perfume EFJ!

EFJ EYJAFALLAJÖKULL PERFUME
100ML

http://int.gydjacollection.com/

EFJ is manufactured by Gydja. It's described as a classic, spicy, light and fresh fragrance with hints of citrus, vanilla, roses and bergamot. The perfume is made with pure glacial water from Eyjafjallajökull and lava stone from the last eruption is wrapped around the bottle neck.

EFJ is available in 100 and 50 ml bottles and is made in Grasse, South of France.

New Yorkin ostos!

Wonderful aroma; Vera Wang! I just love it!

En suosittele Versacen hajuvesiä! - Versace pakkaus on houkutteleva mutta tuoksu on kamala! Laivaostos. Versace parfume; Exquisite packaging, but horrible smell, I do not recommend!

Jag kan inte rekomendera Versaces parfym, förbackningarna är snygga men det doftar illa!!!

MUST HAVE BOOTS!

I love Jeffrey Campbell boots number 2 and Dansko number 6.
What is the right choice for you?
